Phlebotomists are trained to draw blood samples from people of all ages for medical tests and blood donations. The Phlebotomy program trains students in the techniques, procedures, and safety precautions for drawing blood.

What you will learn

• Recognize and work with standard phlebotomy equipment
• Prepare a patient and draw blood
• Meet safety guidelines
• Work in clinical externships to practice with real patients
• Enter patient information into a database

Requirements

• Matric with science, General science and Arts.
• Must pass admission assessment test/interview.
