Fiber Optic Technician is the backbone of modern-day telecom & internet networks and related industries. The CFOT course is designed to meet the domestic and international job market and professional certification requirements. It provides all necessary knowledge and skills that are necessary to properly install, diagnose and repair fiber optics systems.

What you will learn

• Splicing, testing, and troubleshooting of fiber optic cables
• Install, diagnose, restore or maintain the fiber optic systems
• Use of OTDR, light source, power meter, cable fault locator and other test equipment
• Introduction of FTTX, FTTC and FTTB
• FTTH Operation, Maintenance, Deployment and Administration
• OLT Configuration, ONT Configuration, Splitter and Coupler Techniques
• Orientation and Introduction of E-PON/G-PON Networks
• E-PON/G-PON Network Testing and Fault Rectification
• Fiber System, PDH, SDH and M-SAG
• Installation and testing of FDH, ODF, NAP and FAT
• Reviewing project plans and engineering drawings
• Deployment techniques of fiber cables in cities, conduits, hills, desert and sea.
• Inspect fiber routes and hub sites as preventative maintenance
• Telecom industry safety, quality and compliance requirements
• Complete job ready skills in fiber optic & telecom industries

Requirements

• No specific requirement of education and experience.
• Can read and write (Urdu/English)
• Must pass admission assessment test/interview
